Too Much Grief
Every tragedy deserves due respect for its own particulars, but I want to lump a few together today.
The beams of the 9/11 tribute honor the lives lost that day, but they are also a beacon of
warning, shining through the darkness of smoke and of hatred, ignorance, greed, misguidedness.
May there be a light of hope for everyone affected by 9/11, and by the horrendous wildfires burning on the west coast,
the coronavirus pandemic, and the indefensible killing we've been seeing, both by cops and by gun-toting
ideologues. This country, and humanity, has to change course to protect the lives of all
people and Nature on this planet. We are all at risk.
