Survival
Hospital pumps
measuring,
metering,
pipe vital minerals
with a soft whirr
and pfsh pfsh,
saving the life of my mother.
Outside, night rings
with creature
chirps and peeps,
multitudes of soft sounds,
asynchronous
symphony
beating the pulse of the planet.
